Thermopower anomalies in PtCo in the temperature range 4 K to 300 K

The absolute thermopower of PtCo alloys is shown to contain negative peaks which decrease in magnitude and move rapidly to higher temperature as the Co concentration increases from 0.31 to 3.74 at.%. The extrema of the peaks track rather well with magnetic ordering temperatures determined from measurements of other properties of PtCo.     

Giant magnetothermopower oscillations in indium: Evidence for magnetic breakdown

Large amplitude, low frequency oscillations in the transverse magnetothermopower of indium have been observed below 2.5 K for magnetic fields between 10 kG and 20 kG directed along either [010], [$\text{1}$01], or [1$\text{1}$0] crystallographic axes. The oscillations are attributed to magnetic breakdown.     

Transition Probabilities for Symmetric Jump Processes

We consider symmetric Markov chains on the integer lattice in dimensions, where and the conductance between and is comparable to . We establish upper and lower bounds for the transition probabilities that are sharp up to constants.
